DoubleClick for Publishers (DFP)

Note: before starting the configuration of your DFP banners, make sure your technical team added the data-iab-tag to your pages pages.

With the  Google DoubleClick for Publishers (DFP) <> AdBack Connector, deliver your direct premium campaigns to adblockers users.

These banners replace blocked placements to help you regain lost revenue from your blocked campaigns.

Step 1. Create your simplified URL

Go to  the DFP Tag and URL generator and fill in the fields for the ad you want to display. You can find informations in the script generated to display your ad.
Tag type -> simplified URL
Network ID -> your DFP account ID (example: 1234567891234 in green in the example below)
Ad unit code -> example: 123456789/Adback-166 in blue in the example below
Ad slot size -> the red part in the example below. Start typing the size directly in the field and select the correct size
Custom targeting -> the purpule part in the example below. Add Key= before (example: Key=hb_adid_rubicon)

Click on Generate tags. A tag appears. Copy the URL of the image tag. It should look like this:[TIMESTAMP]

Add a x between ad and ? just like below:[TIMESTAMP]

Copy this URL and keep it. You will need it for the next step.

  • Give it the exact same name as the one defined in the data-iab-tag when they were added to your pages (ask your technical team if needed)
  • Then, activate the DoubleClick for Publishers (DFP) banner part and fill the Name and simplified URLwith the one you created in step 1.
  • Save the changes.
