Is AdBack free?

The whole analytics module is free and available to all.

Only the message display and the monetization solutions are charged on CPM or revenue share basis. If you want to know the different plans, refer to the our pricing page.

What is the alternatives to ads offered by AdBack?

AdBack offers you to address to your users and to recover your ad revenue thanks to different solutions:

What is a user blocking ad or adblocker user?

Today, there are different ways to block ads. An adblocker user is a visitor using one of the solutions below:

  • a browser extension: several extensions exist such as Adblock Plus, AdBlock, Ghostery, uBlock, uBlock Origin or Crystal on mobile iOS
  • an antivirus software
  • a personal firewall via the antivirus
  • a professional firewall via the company

Why do I have 404 errors in Google Search Console?

We’ve recently seen 404 errors appearing on URLs that never existed on websites which using our solutions. These 404 errors are linked to Googlebot, which reads our scripts elements as links of your website, and tries to track them while they don’t exist. Read more

What is the custom message?

The custom message is the pop-in appearing on adblocker users screen. The message can be different depending on the profile of the targeted user. You can add deactivation features or propose alternatives to advertising to recover your revenue. Read more

How to use perimeters on WordPress?

If you don’t want to display your custom message on all the pages of your website, you can use the perimeters feature to display the message only on pages where the perimeter is set. Read more

Websites often offers to users to enable notifications to be alerted to website news in their browser, but this message is blocked by adblockers.

How to create scenarios on custom messages?

For example, you can display a first message to your adblockers users in order to warn them they have 3 pages available for free, and then they will have to disable their adblocker or subscribe to a paid version of your site. After three pages viewed, a second message appears, leaving only the option to disable the adblocker or pay to continue to access the site. Read more

Why do I have a refused statut?

If you configured an IAB or Content.ad banner and have a refused status, we regret to inform you that we’re unable to run advertisements on your domain. This decision is commonly based on a variety of factors including:

  • Site content will not work with our advertiser base.
  • Site language or content focus does not align with our advertisers’ needs.
  • Site traffic may not meet minimum requirements.
  • Site layout does not adhere to our technological requirements.
  • Site traffic is primarily from countries not supported by our advertisers.

You can still run your direct campaigns through our DFP connector or our own ad server via autopromo banners.

One Click Adblock Monetization : How to recover my gains?

This article is for the AdBack plugin One Click Adblock Monetization’s users.

With the display of the message, you monetize your adblock users with two options: disabling the adblocker or clicking on the ad.
To receive your gains resulting from the clicks on the ads, please send us the information listed below by email to support@adback.co:
  • Full name of the interlocutor
  • Name and address of the company
  • VAT number
  • Full bank details
  • Mail address
Once we receive this information, we will send you a monthly billing call which you will have to respond with an invoice in order to allow us to give you your earnings. The payment will be triggered only when your earnings exceed 50€.

On average, 15% of your Google Analytics data are blocked by adblocker users and don’t appear in the analytics tool’s interface. Why does a message appear on the site I want to consult?

The website you’re visiting is remunerated by advertising. If you see this message, this is because you have an adblocker (Adblock, Adblock Plus, uBlock, uBlock Origin, Ghostery, etc.) depriving the site of ad revenues. These revenues are essential for the survival of the site. That’s why you are asked to support it by choosing one of the solutions proposed. Read more

Is consent collected from users of ad blockers?

Most of consent messages aren’t blocked by adblockers. Adblockers users can give their consent or not for data collect. However, many websites load their CMP via a tag manager (as Google Tag Manager for example). Some adblockers block items loaded through tag manager, as well as analytics tool like Google Analytics. We estimate the blocking rate at 15% on average.

AdBack can find the blocking rate of your CMP.

In the case where the CMP is blocked, the consent message isn’t displayed and the website can’t collect consent or refusal. Read more
